Our story with Holly Marie Combs, Rose McGowan, and Charmed has been nothing short of magical, and we can't wait to relive those charming moments once again. Our fascination with Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan began years ago when we first stepped into the bewitching universe of Charmed. I, Ranbert, started watching Charmed from day 1, October 7, 1998, on WB Network in Aruba.
For those who might not know (or just need a little magical reminder) — Charmed first cast its spell on TV screens on October 7, 1998, on The WB Network, and wrapped up its enchanting run on May 21, 2006. Across 8 incredible seasons and 178 episodes, the series followed three sisters who discover they’re powerful witches destined to protect the innocent and fight the forces of evil — all while dealing with everyday life, love, and sisterhood.

From the very first “Power of Three will set us free,” fans around the world (us included) were instantly hooked.
For me, it was more than just a show, because it became part of my daily life. I still remember tuning in every week, waiting to see what new spell, demon, or emotional moment the sisters would face next. Over time, it wasn’t just about the magic, but it was about family, courage, and that unbreakable bond between the Halliwell sisters.
Holly brought Piper Halliwell to life as the middle sister, sharing the screen with Shannen Doherty as the eldest Prue Halliwell and Alyssa Milano as the youngest Phoebe Halliwell. Then, on October 4, 2001, we met Paige Matthews who is the youngest Halliwell sister joining the family and helped restore the legendary Power of Three.
The combination of magic, fantasy, and strong female characters drew us in, captivating our hearts and sparking our admiration for Holly's portrayal of Piper Halliwell and Rose McGowan's portrayal of Paige Matthews. As the years passed, our love for the show only grew, and we found ourselves sharing this magical world with our family, including our children.
Last year, 2022, our dreams took flight when we attended the German Comic Con Dortmund 2022 Winter Edition. Yes, because both Holly and Rose were announced as special guests on both days of the comic con: December 3 and 4, 2022.
Meeting Holly Marie Combs in person was a surreal experience, one that we will cherish forever.
Daryene also had a ticket for an autograph, and she wanted it to be extra special. So we dug through our collection at home and carefully picked a photo of Holly, a classic publicity shot from her Charmed days, and had it printed just for the occasion. Holding that photo in our hands, we felt a mix of excitement and nostalgia, knowing we would soon be meeting the woman behind Piper Halliwell in person. When Holly signed it right there before our eyes, it felt like a little piece of Charmed magic had come alive in our hands.
Meanwhile, we had a nice conversation with Holly. It was her birthday also, which made that day, that moment very special. We wished her a heartfelt Happy Birthday and gave her a card wishing her a Happy Birthday, a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and thanked her for giving us Piper, for coming to Germany making our wishes and dreams come true meeting her.
Then Daryene went on a photo with Holly to commemorate this very special encounter with a Charmed One.
But that wasn't all! At the same event, we had the pleasure of meeting Rose McGowan who is another fantastic actress from Charmed. The warmth and kindness they exuded during our conversations were truly heartwarming. Rose complimented a unique Jeannie Bottle I, Ranbert, had hand-painted.
Daryene went on a photo with Rose and also got an autograph too. Below is a photo of the moment when Rose was signing the photo for Daryene.
Daryene had also prepared a Christmas card for Rose and here we have a photo of Rose reading her card and then she posed with the card also for me to take a photo of this special moment.
The card had empowering words for Rose, which she appreciated very much and we also wished her a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We thanked her also for everything. The fact that she took the time to read it that very moment despite the busy line she had, made our day extra special.
Holly also noticed my Jeannie bottle which was autographed by the legendary Barbara Eden herself at that same Comic Con minutes before, who sat on the right hand of Holly. It was a moment of shared appreciation for the magic of television and the legacy of iconic shows like Charmed and I Dream of Jeannie.
Charmed, for those who don't know about the series, is a series that beautifully intertwines the Supernatural with sisterhood, showcasing the power of love, family, and friendship. The homage to I Dream of Jeannie, a classic TV show, in Charmed added an extra layer of nostalgia for fans like me - fan of Barbara Eden and I Dream of Jeannie. The attention to detail, including the use of an authentic Jim Beam 1964 decanter in Charmed, highlighted the show's dedication to its magical roots.
Fast forward to today, and we find ourselves on the brink of yet another magical encounter with Holly Marie Combs at Comic Con Holland, October 14 and 15 which will take place at Expo Greater Amsterdam. Our excitement knows no bounds as we prepare to introduce our children to the world of fan conventions. Our eldest daughter, in particular, is bubbling with anticipation, eagerly looking forward to her first-ever celebrity photo. It's not just a photo; it's a memory she will carry with her, a glimpse into the enchanting world of fandom that we've cherished for so long.
As we eagerly count down the days to October 14th and 15th, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the magical journey that Charmed and Holly Marie Combs have taken us on. We are immensely thankful for the memories we've created and the friendships we've formed, both on and off the screen. We wonder if also Rose McGowan will be announced as well. What we know, wishes and dreams do come true!
Our story doesn't end here; there are more adventures awaiting us, more celebrities to meet, and more magical moments to share. Our passion for Charmed and the incredible talents of Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan continue to inspire us, reminding us of the power of magic, both on the screen and in our hearts.

Update: Due to not feeling well, Holly had to postpone her appearance at Comic Con Holland, recorded a video and was posted by Comic Con Holland on October 13, 2023. Holly promised she will be in the Netherlands the next year, 2024.
Update: Holly was announced for Comic Con Holland October 12 & 13, 2024 together with Rose McGowan. Due to sickness, Rose sadly could not attend.
